Zoology

The Department of Zoology has been functioning since the inception of the College in 1957. At that time, there was only the Pre- University Course, affiliated to the University of Kerala. The duration of the Course was one year. There was only one faculty member in the Department. Later the one year PUC was converted to the two –year Pre Degree Course. B.Sc. Degree Course in Zoology was started in 1968. The College was affiliated to the University of Calicut in the same year. There were six regular teachers in the Department to teach the PDC and Degree Courses. Botany and Chemistry were the Subsidiary subjects. The Course and College were affiliated to the Kannur University in 1997.

2. Apply for forest service exam
3.Specific PSC exam like fisheries inspector, Malaria and Filaria offices some posts the
qualification is BSc Zoology
4. Can become Project assistant in different environmental projects, bird survey, taxonomic survey

6. Museum and Zoo
