Political Science

The Department of political science has been functioning since the inception of the College in August 1957. As far as political science is concerned, till now there is no undergraduate course. The department offers complementary elective courses for third and fourth semester BA History and first and second semester BA Economics degree students. The department is working for nurturing consciousness in a wide range of areas like Human rights, Indian constitution, Principles of Political science, civic consciousness, democratic values among students to make them active citizens. As of now, one teacher is sufficient to engage classes for complementary batches. Since 1957 many eminent and efficient teachers have rendered their valuable service for the development and reputation of the department as well as of the college. The broad goals of the department is to promote excellence in political science and cultivate a genuine interest in future research studies.
