She is a Postgraduate in Kannada Language and Literature from Kannur University. She secured ‘BEd from Kannur University. Her teaching and research interests are in the area of Ancient Kannada Poetry, Medieval Kannada Poetry and Dravidian Cultural Studies. And folklore and grammar. She has been elected as a member of the Academic Council of Central University in 2021. She is a member of the Finance committee of the Central University of Kerala.
