Renjith R. Ph.D.
Assistant Professor | Ph. D., M. Sc. Physics, JRF (NET)Dr. Renjith Raveendran Pillai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Government College Kasaragod, Kerala, India. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Kerala in 2016. His research focuses on computational materials science, quantum chemical modelling, nonlinear optical and optoelectronic materials, and the theoretical design of functional π-conjugated and charge-transfer systems. His expertise includes density functional theory (DFT), time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT), molecular dynamics, and molecular modelling. His current research explores the computational design of organic chromophores with enhanced nonlinear optical properties, through-space charge transfer, near-infrared absorption, and optoelectronic applications. He also works on molecular sensing, nanomaterials, energetic materials, and computational molecular chemistry.Dr. Renjith has published research articles in several international peer-reviewed journals, including *Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics*, *Journal of Molecular Liquids*, *New Journal of Chemistry*, and *Journal of Molecular Structure*. He is the Principal Investigator of a SERB-funded research project on developing novel organic π-conjugated materials using the through-space charge transfer mechanism for nonlinear optical applications. He is also actively involved in research supervision and the mentoring of postgraduate students.
