Biography

➢ Highly motivated Remote Sensing and GIS specialist with good knowledge of Earth System
Science and Physical Geography and well-developed technical skills.
➢ Over 10 years of experience and extensive knowledge of vector and raster GIS, remote sensing,
Digital image processing, Digital Photogrammmetry, GPS, cartographic techniques and in
design and implementation of Remote Sensing and GIS application for natural resource
management related projects in association with government agencies, the private sector, and
NGOs.
➢ Outreach activities: project presentations, publishing, generally promoting the transfer of GIS,
digital remote sensing, and related spatial technologies to all levels of government as well as
private sector and NGOs.

Education

  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) from the University of Kerala.
  • Ph.D. in Geology with specialization in Remote Sensing and Hydrogeology from the University of Mysore, India. Thesis entitled “Remote Sensing and Geophysical studies of Sargur lineaments, South India” - Department of Studies in Geology, University of Mysore, INDIA.
  • Qualified National Eligibility Test (CSIR-NET) conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Human Resources, Govt. of India.
  • Qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-1995), with a score of 77 percentile, conducted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Govt. of India
  • Post-Graduate degree (M.Sc.) in Marine Geology from Mangalore University, Mangalagangothri, Karnataka, India
