She has completed her Post Graduation Degree from the University of Calicut. Later, she obtained her MPhil And PhD Degrees from the Institute of English, University of Kerala. Her Doctoral Research was on the topic “Gendering Modernity: Early Women’s Magazines in Keralam.” Her areas of research include Kerala Modernity, Film Studies, Gender Studies, Cultural Studies etc.
