Liyaqath Ali, is an MPhil and Ph.D. holder in Arabic from JNU, New Delhi. He completed his BA, MA and BEd. in Arabic from RUA College, Feroke and University centres of Calicut University. He joined Directorate of Collegiate Education on 13/09/2006 as Lecturer in Arabic at Govt. College, Mokeri. Till Nov. 2017 he worked as different positions like Lecturer, Asst. Prof. and HoD of Arabic in Govt. College Mokeri and Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam. He was selected by the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India to take the responsibility of Director, Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture, Embassy of India, Cairo, Egypt, under Indian Council for Cultural Relations, with full diplomatic status at the level of IFS Second Secretary. After successfully completing three years of deputation, he re-joined Collegiate Education as Associate Professor and Head of the Dept. of Arabic, Govt. College, Kasargod in Nov. 2020. He has 15 research papers, 8 newspaper articles and more than 30 seminar papers in his credit. He has also completed a Major Research Project funded by UGC in the area of Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) in Arabic.
